Areas of Interest
Play Therapy & Parenting Support
Play Therapy is an evidence-based, developmentally appropriate approach to facilitating a safe therapeutic relationship between the child and therapist. When a child is playing, they bring unconscious thoughts and feelings into the conscious and give us a unique insight into their internal world. Play Therapists are trained to interpret play and facilitate change through the increasing personal strengths, enhancing emotional relationships, facilitation of communication and fostering emotional wellness. We also work with the systems around the child such as daycare or schools, and schedule regular parent/carer sessions to provide feedback, and parent support.
We can provide separate Parenting Support for parents of neurotypical and neurodivergent children; who feel they need a little extra support to understand the core of good parenting, who want to raise children to thrive and foster family wellness without rewards and punishments.
Neuroscience - Safe and Sound Protocol
The Safe and Sound protocol is an acoustic intervention that increases nervous system regulation which thereby enhances social engagement, information processing and communication. The therapist establishes relational safety and filtered and modulated music is delivered through headphones whilst the listener engages in activities such as colouring, crosswords, gentle play, and rest.
Autism & ADHD Assessment & Therapy
Neuroaffirming assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), with the purpose of understanding your unique profile of strengths and differences. We provide therapeutic support to understand your neurotype and build skills that you want and need to live your best life.
